Polish Football Association delegation visits Via Allegri as part of the ‘Erasmus+ mobility programme’
October 16th, 2026
A PZPN delegation visited the FIGC headquarters: a moment of dialogue and exchange that continued at Coverciano for the 'Unity EURO Cup 2026' and with meetings at Fiorentina and Affrico.
Youth football, corporate social responsibility, community initiatives, the women’s game, local cooperation, as well as innovations and modern solutions: these were the key topics explored during a visit to Italy by a delegation from PZPN (the Polish Football Association) as part of the “Erasmus+ mobility programme”.
The visit began at the FIGC headquarters in Via Allegri on Wednesday, October 14th, continued at Coverciano for the closing day of the ‘Unity EURO Cup 2026’ (including a visit to the Football Museum and attendance at the Celebration Party), and concluded today with meetings at the Fiorentina and Affrico football clubs.
The first meeting at FIGC provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue and knowledge-sharing regarding development strategies for youth and school football. During the session, the structure and organization of the FIGC Youth and School Sector (SGS) were presented, with a focus on its core areas of activity: grassroots football, youth women’s football, social and integrated football projects, school initiatives, and pathways for young players and youth competitions.
Special attention was given to the Club Quality System, a tool designed to enhance the quality of activities and the development of sports clubs. The event offered a valuable chance to exchange organizational models and best practices, strengthening the dialogue between the two Federations and laying the groundwork for potential future collaborations in youth football.
Finally, the meeting showcased the European Projects led and coordinated by FIGC: ‘BELONG’, which promotes the social integration of adolescent refugees, and ‘Hand in Hand’, which uses sport to combat gender-based violence.
