BELONG Project: Training for Trainers held with SGS Coaches and NGO Representatives

January 30, 2026

Everything is set for the start of activities across the three locations. Shared goals, organization, and work methodologies have been established.

The progress of the ‘Belong’ project continues at full speed. This initiative, aimed at promoting the social integration of refugee adolescents, is led by the FIGC in partnership with three local NGOs (Solidarietà Caritas Onlus Florence; Consorzio Gruppo CEIS Modena; Consorzio Gruppo CEIS Civitavecchia) and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore).

Following last November’s meeting, at which Unimore presented a package of non-sporting activities to the NGOs involved in the project, Training for Trainers took place on Tuesday 27 January, attended by coaches from the Italian Football Federation’s Youth and School Sector and representatives of the NGOs. The training was divided into three parts. The first part set the objectives and organised the work; the second analysed the BELONG methodology in detail; and the third was dedicated to Q&A, as well as evaluation questionnaires.
